Its Winter! And in the new tradition of fairy trees I am making a few copper /mirror sculptures to celebrate. Last week I was taking a walk when it began to snow. I had put snowflake art all around the house and even wore my snowflake pjs to invoke SNOW! Its not every winter that we have snow in western washington so I had hoped for a snowflake year. On my walk I was so in bliss in the falling crystals of snow! As I raised my arms up to capture it, I looked to my sleeves and saw dozens of perfectly formed stars! It was amazing, and though I saw it as a small miracle, later when researching star shapes in snow, there are a few pics on internet to show the shape I am talking of. It is often called the star of david, but it has more meanings than this. Seal of solomon, a six pointed star, a hexagon or my favorite, the initiate star. To capture this moment in creative form, I began a new fairy tree. To the left you can see the copper tree ready for its 'ingredients'. Citrine points, selenite, and my kit of raindrops and snow (kit in upper right hand corner of glass drops in a variety of shapes...)
