Faveallon is being finished up this month with her velvety soft clothes. Like the previous art doll Avalon, she/he is from my "DEER FOLK" series. Meant to be mythical beings, they are anamorphic and androgynous. They both are hand sculpted of porcelain and are china-painted . A braised copper armature is then made, organic cotton is stitched to make the form and a chamois leather skin is sewn on top. They are more complex than the work I usually do so I take a few months to finish one. Each detail is hand-sculpted or crafted. Faveallon has a beautiful doll stand made of copper and formed in a unique fairy ring design. It painted and patinaed for a finishing touch. She/He has several clothing options and comes with both porcelain rose pins or the velvet/silk ones (like one shown)No other doll in the world is like these.
I did months of research to make sure my original designs were not seen anywhere else. You can almost imagine her/him appearing on a forest path one day in the middle of a snowy winter.
Fave will be for sale soon. But first she/he will be featured at the oct 2 launch at splash gallery.
