Spring Flowers...and painted pigs!
for my china painting class I am making porcelain flowers for all the gals there. Here are a few samples: peonies, roses, daisies and orchids. I am using a new clay in addition to the English Groleg I get from Clayart center in Tacoma Wa. It is very luminous and I hope to incorporate it into the new work. It is not as easy to use than the other porcelain as it dries even faster and is a bit 'crumbly' but its luminosity is well worth the change.
However there are many very talented porcelain flower makers out there.See below for a famous and truly amazing porcelain artist.....
CHINA PAINTED ANIMALS::::
You can see above to the left and below, the cute little 'animal friends series' newbies of a lamb and her pig friend. Soon to be available are the animal friend series of hand painted collectables. Many of them are separate (for playing with!!!) but sold together as a set. Inspired by internet pictures of unusual animal friends, I made this work just for my new china painted figurine series.
Pigs and elephants have been taking over my little studio.
