CHINA PAINTING:::: for my china painting class I am making porcelain flowers for all the gals there. Here are a few samples: peonies, roses, daisies and orchids. I am using a new clay in addition to the English Groleg I get from Clayart center in Tacoma Wa. It is very luminous and I hope to incorporate it into the new work. It is not as easy to use than the other porcelain as it dries even faster and is a bit 'crumbly' but its luminosity is well worth the change. However there are many very talented porcelain flower makers out there.See below for a famous and truly amazing porcelain artist..... CHINA PAINTED ANIMALS:::: You can see above to the left and below, the cute little 'animal friends series' newbies of a lamb and her pig friend. Soon to be available are the animal friend series of hand painted collectables. Many of them are separate (for playing with!!!) but sold together as a set. Inspired by internet pictures of unusual animal friends, I made this work just for my new china painted figurine series. Pigs and elephants have been taking over my little studio. If you are interested in purchase or custom orders of animal combos go to the contact page by clicking here.. THIS IS NOT MY WORK!!!! But I stumbled across his amazing porcelain flowers and thought to share with you the amazing creations by Vladimir Kanevsky - go to ....
